The robotic platform offers the highest throughput microplate processing. The system integrates a high-speed plate-handling robot and flexible dynamic scheduling software with a customized (application-specific, user-specified) suite of modules. The hardware design is efficient with the modules arranged concentrically around the table top. The robot allows a full 360° and access to 16 deck positions. This arrangement allows plate transfers in 2 seconds. The software supports non-linear processes, multiple plate formats, as well as complex robotic manipulations, and an icon-based editor for creating and editing protocols. The dynamic scheduler performs real-time optimization enabling intelligent error recovery while achieving highest machine utilization.
